Steve had to go back to SA for a week recently so I loaded up the kids (and the dog) and we headed back up to my sister’s house for a few days. We visited Santa, wrote letters to Santa, made cookies and hot cocoa, shopped, got ice cream, and saw our first snowfall of the winter. My kids are mesmerized by snow. They can’t wait for some to stick so they can finally see what sledding is all about. I think this cold weather is for the birds :)!
After Steve got home, we went to check out the progress on the new house. We pulled up and the exterior had been painted! It was pouring down rain and I was in the car, but this is an idea of what it looks like. The girls at the interior design studio steered us in this direction (tone on tone base and trim colors with dark doors) and we love it!
So much is happening and the inside of the house is a mess, but I managed to get a shot of the kitchen layout and newly painted cabinets. The built-ins have been stained, upstairs is being painted, granite gets installed this week, and we are meeting with the landscaper tomorrow.
I will keep taking pictures as things progress so I can get some good before and after shots!
